WASATCH HOLLOW COMMUNITY COUNCIL

The purpose of the Wasatch Hollow Community Council is to involve citizens in identifying issues, plans, and projects that enhance the beauty, safety, vibrancy, and retain the character of Wasatch Hollow neighborhoods, businesses, and historical and natural resources.  The Community Council sponsors, supports, and provides a voice on such issues to governing bodies, public and private service agencies, the community at large, and any other organization or individual that may directly affect the vitality of the Wasatch Hollow area and its residents.

Open Space Discussions with current owners of Kensington Property and current options for the cities purchase of the property.

Community Council Bylaws – Discussion about Community Council recommendations to the Community Association.

·         Hold Annual Sept Community Association Meeting

·         Amend Community Association boundaries to match Community Council boundaries.

·         Pledge current Community Association funds for the purchase of the Kensington property for open space, or natural habitat restoration of Kensington property open space, or phase three of Wasatch Hollow Park.

·         Appoint Community Council Leadership to act as Community Association Trustees, until all funds are properly dispersed, and until it is determined if the Community Association may continue to operate as a 501c3 or not.

On the fourth Thursday of the month, April through September, 7-10 am , the Salt Lake Valley Health Department  will be holding a household hazardous waste community collection at Sugarhouse Park, by the Garden Center, 2100 S. 1602 E.  (NE corner of the park, west of Highland HS)
